The major objective of the workshop ”Good Scientific Practice – Protecting Research Integrity” is to know and understand the basic rules and values of the responsible conduct of research in all its stages, according to local, national and international regulations and guidelines.
The participants will explore the differences and grey areas between good scientific practice, questionable research practice and scientific misconduct. They will learn to develop appropriate solutions for difficult situations in the process of science and receive advice on how to protect their own scientific work. They are encouraged to speak with colleagues and the appropriate institutions about problems and challenges.

The online workshop encourages the active involvement of the participants and features case discussions, individual working sessions, plenary discussions, information input, and problem-based learning. Additional material and helpful resources will be provided after the workshop.
Participants' requirements
Each participant needs their own individual working space and a personal computer with fast Internet access, a suitable browser, a headset or microphone/speakers, and a camera.

Conditions of participation
This workshop is primarily aimed towards doctoral candidates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Participation in this workshop is subject to a participation fee. For doctoral candidates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, this is a fee of 15,00 € / day (30,00 €). For postdocs and other members and affiliates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, this is a fee of 25,00€ / day (50,00 €).
