This course explores well-being and eco-responsibility in a European context. Using case studies, students will analyze how cities can be improved based on the criteria of joy, sustainability, diversity, eco-responsibility, and democracy. Through interactive discussions and critical thinking, they will develop strategies for future-oriented urban development. The course combines theoretical concepts with practical examples, encouraging a reflective perspective on sustainable development in Europe. A BiP is integrated in this module, meaning that students will travel to Lyon for 5 days to work with students from our partner university.

At the end of the course, students will present their findings in a poster presentation. Bachelor’s and Master’s students will have similar requirements but will be graded on different scales, with Master's students expected to demonstrate deeper analysis and a more comprehensive understanding of the material.
The course consists of two parts:
- the "Academic Bauhaus.Module" (3 ECTS) with weekly meetings
- the field trip (3 ECTS) to Lyon to work with students from our partner university
In order to earn 6 ECTS, all participants are expected to complete both parts. |
