Description |
The course Methods of Transport Planning provides an overview of the field of transport planning, with a focus on environmentally sound, sustainable design. For this purpose, the basic terminology, mobility parameters and transport planning issues are considered with a focus on the methodological approach. Mobility as a connection between activities and changes of place is addressed as an interface between urban and transport development. Instruments of integrated transport planning (e.g. intermodal concepts, parking space management, etc.), planning principles (local transport plans/ cycling concepts, etc.) and transport survey methods are presented. The practical relevance is established, among other things, through the study of transport development plans and examples of planned or implemented projects. |
