Taking the XV. Bauhaus Colloquium “Politics of Research” as its setting and material, this seminar approaches the interdisciplinary event as a space for observation, reflection, documentation, and visual translation. Before the colloquium, participants will use the program tool on the website to compose their particular Bauhaus Colloquium and note their expectations: Which talks, topics, speakers, or formats seem relevant, and why? During the colloquium, they will document their observations through notes and sketches that will then be contextualized through readings and research. Each participant will develop a typographic, textual, or image-based poster, not so much to summarize the talks as to respond to questions, ideas, or positions encountered during the colloquium. Finally, participants will give a short reflection connecting these encounters to their own design practice: What resonates, challenges existing assumptions, or opens up new ways of thinking and working? |
