Departing from the existing work and knowledge of the participants, we extend our understanding of ‘practice’ through research, conversation, aesthetic, architectural, and media experiments. Beyond forms of making we are committed to theoretical practices as well as to forms of social, political, and organisational engagement.
Our process is open, but starts with a counterpart to our work, with ideas, methods, problems of another case, an art work, an exhibition, a proposition, a crisis, a war – particularly and in relation to our own practice. The idea is to evolve our work, maybe in another, unforeseen direction, to reflect on its conditions, its premisses, technologies, and objectives.
During the semester we develop, with participants and guests, open collective formats to exchange experiences about the ongoing work and current conditions. Therefore, we prepare time-based architectures (scenographies, exhibitions, etc.) in room 021, we organise the events, invite people, and document in process. |
